Questions people ask
How do I find people to play pickleball with in Frederick, MD?
The same way: find your bracket and join a Frederick group at your bracket. If you're new or still building rallies, Coach Sam runs coached play for newer players at The Pickl Park in Frederick. It's a friendly way to meet people at your bracket. Check the date, time and any fee on the schedule before you RSVP. Or tell us what you're looking for through Find Your Four.
Does Link & Dink cost anything?
Joining the community, finding your bracket, joining a group and getting matched are free, forever, and Link & Dink takes 0% of anything your group does. Some events, like coached sessions or tournaments, have a fee. When they do, you'll see it on the event before you RSVP.
I'm new to pickleball. Where do I start?
Welcome. You don't need experience or a rating to start. When a First Dink, our night built for newcomers, is on the schedule, start there. Otherwise, pick the bracket that sounds like your game, join a group for newer players, and read the first-game guide so you know what to expect and what confirms your spot.
How do skill brackets work?
Every player is placed in one of 5 brackets: New, Rallying, Playing, Competing and Tournament Level. Brackets keep games even, so you play with people near your game. You don't need a DUPR rating. If you have one, we show it alongside your bracket. Answer a few questions in the bracket finder to get placed.
