Rotating partner

Rotating partner, 9 players

9 players · 2 courts · 9 rounds

How it runs

Rotating-partner round robin: you get a new partner every round and score for yourself, not your pair. 9 players, 9 rounds across 2 courts. You partner every other player once and sit out exactly one round. Games to 11, win by 2. The top 4 records advance: the leader picks a partner, the other two pair up, and they play one championship game to 15. Standings are ranked by wins, then head-to-head wins among the tied players, then point differential, then point differential in games between the tied players, then point differential against the players just above, then points scored.

Shown with games to 11.

9 players has an exact schedule: everyone plays, no alternates.

Playoff: Top 4, captain pick (2 teams)

The top 4 in the round-robin standings advance; everyone else is out.

Seed 1 (the standings leader) picks one partner from Seeds 2–4; the remaining two are forced together, making 2 teams.

  • Championship: Team A (Seed 1 + pick) vs Team B (forced pair)

Only two teams advance, so there are no semifinals: straight to the final. Finals are a single game to 15, win by 2.
